The Purchasing Deparment is responsible for all procurements of goods and services. In accordance with New York State General Municipal Law, the Town advertises procurements for all goods valued in excess of $10,000 and all Public Works Projects valued in excess of $20,000 in the Official News Paper of the Town of Smithtown, The Smithtown News.
Procurements for goods valued in excess of $5,000 (Public Works Projects valued in excess of $10,000) are administered through a less-formal quotation process.
