Public notices are available for the hours at this facility and the Do’s and Don’ts of recycling. Recycling facility tours are available for schools, scouts, and others and may be scheduled by telephone.
Recycling and residential garbage pick up information is made available through the annual recycling calendar that is mailed to each residence throughout the Town of Smithtown. Pick up days are on Wednesdays; alternate weeks are for co-mingled and paper and cardboard. Recycling days are marked in the calendar; orange for mixed recyclables, green for paper. We have a six-day drop off for residents. The Dos and Don’ts of recycling are explained in the calendar.
This facility is a six day a week drop off center for residents; Monday-Saturday for recycling, Tuesday – Saturday for construction debris. Hours are 7:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m., 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., six days a week. We do not accept Hazardous Waste.
