Q: Can I bring in grass clippings?
A: We will not accept grass clippings and the Carter will not pick them up. The homeowner should mulch them back into the soil.

 
Q: Can I bring in motor oil, batteries, old license plates?
A: Yes, there is no charge.

 
Q: Can I bring in my old antifreeze?
A: Yes, but there is an $1.00 per gallon fee.

 
Q: Can I throw out kerosene, gasoline, liquid chemicals?
A: We will not accept them at the MSF.

 
Q: My snow was not removed
A: The Highway Department is in charge of snow removal.

 
Q: What are the hours?
A: This facility is a six day a week drop off center for residents; Monday-Saturday for recycling, Tuesday – Saturday for construction debris. Hours are 7:00am - 11:45am, 1:00pm – 3:45pm, six days a week. We do not accept Hazardous Waste

 
Q: What can I do with my used syringes?
A: They must be put into a container such as an empty shampoo bottle, soda bottle, etc. and disposed of with the regular garbage. Do not put with the recycling.

 
Q: What can I do with old paint cans?
A: Old newspapers or kitty litter should be put into the can to absorb any old paint that is not already dried up. It then can be put into the garbage for pick up by the Carter.

 
Q: What recyclable can I bring to the recycling center?
A: All metal, newspapers, cardboard, brush, leaves, branches, firewood or mixed recyclables can be brought in at no charge to the homeowner.

 
Q: Where can I obtain a recycling container?
A: Recycling containers can be purchased at the Municipal Services Facility. Containers are re-sold at the Town's cost.

 
Q: Who is my carter? When is bulk pick up? What bulk can I put out for the garbage Carter, what bulk for the Parks Department?
A: The Parks Department will pick up furniture and white goods, the Carter will pick up metal items, rugs, etc. These are all questions that are answered in the recycling calendar, or by calling this office.

 
Q: Who picks up yard waste?
A: The Highway Department will pick up leaves and brush.

 
Q: Who will pick up my old sheetrock, old wood, cement, bathtub, sink, toilet, etc.?
A: This is considered construction debris and it is the responsibility of the homeowner to dispose of. Residents may bring to us for a fee of $ .04 per pound or $80.00 per ton or have their contractor dispose of it elsewhere.

 
Q: Will the Carter pick up my old car tires?
A: If rims are removed, the Carter will pick up two or three at a time.
